The Ministry of education and science of Murmansk region (further- the Ministry) is a body of executive power of the state authority of Murmansk region. It provides management of the sphere of education of Murmansk region, implements the state policy, forms the regional policy in education and science, implement legal and regulatory framework in spheres of education, upbringing, child well fare, social support and security of students and pupils of the educational institutions of Murmansk region, functions of control and supervision in this spheres. 

The Ministry coordinates and controls lower organizations of educational system of Murmansk region.
