Shtokman project is said to be restarted with new technologies.
French oil and gas concern “Total” offered OJSC “Gazprom” to restart the project of development of Shtokman gas field basing on new technological decisions. Total Senior Vice-president of research and exploitation in continental Europe and central Asia – Michael Borrell stated this during the World petroleum council.
“We offered new technologies. Hope for quick restart of Shtokman” – he said, naming Shtokman “a beautiful project”. New shareholder agreement should take in consideration changes in technological scheme of research, almost 100% of production of natural compressed gas (NCG) within the first phase of field exploitation.
